Booking Terms & Conditions  

Thank you for choosing to book with Manor House.   We look forward to welcoming you to our family home. When you make this booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Please therefore take a moment to read our terms and conditions of booking.

 

Deposits - All bookings need to be secured with a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total booking and full payment is due one month before any stay.

 

Payment Methods - We accept bank transfer, cheque, cash and PayPal.

 

Arrival - After 4.00pm. We would love to know an approximate time of arrival so that we can greet you at the door.   On arrival tea and home made cake will be available for you in the cottage.

 

Departure - 10.00am. Please be ready to leave your accommodation by this time on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged with us.   Your bill, should you have incurred any extras, will be payable on departure.

 

Children & Pets - As much as we love animals and children we work hard to create a peaceful, luxury retreat for adults- and frazzled parents included. Sadly we do not accept pets, but we do have our own, very friendly, family dogs called Zula and Milly.  We have a policy of no children under 12.

 

Cancellation and Insurance - Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit paid is non-refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately.   For cancellations made up to one month before your booking you will not be liable for the total balance.   For cancellations made after this time or by failing to take up the booking without cancelling, you will be liable for the total amount and no refunds will be given.  For this reason, you may wish to consider taking out cancellation insurance.

 

Non-Availability - We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control.   We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation locally.   However, if this was not possible or unacceptable to you, we would then offer you a full refund.  Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

 

Liability - We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicle or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

 

Damages and breakages - We love receiving and looking after our guests but please respect and take care of our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or contents during your stay.  Accidents do happen, so please let us know as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for small breakages, but we may send you an invoice or repair/replacement if it is significant.

 

No Smoking in the cottage, house or the grounds
